Welcome to the heart of Huronia. The Hurons, allies of the
French explorers, were one of the most prosperous nations
in North America. More interested in trade than in war, the
Hurons occupied an area known as the "breadbasket of the Northern
tribes". Further to the west, the nation of the Petun or "Tobacco
People" was also flourishing due to its new partnership with
the Europeans.
Breathtakingly beautiful Georgian Bay has plenty of spectacular
views and uncommon adventures to please everyone: intrepid
athletes, history buffs and comfort-loving tourists who prefer
to relax in the stress-free atmosphere of modern resorts.
